Anime: Kiznaiver Episode One: Sometimes, a Bond Can Bloom from the First Day Eye Contact Is Made I've been overhearing a lot of great reviews about Kiznaiver, and decided to take a look into it and see if what everyone is proclaiming is true in my opinions. First off, the introduction to the main character reels you in right off the bat. With a young child running alone through the halls, with a voice echoing, "You're not the same as us, Katsuhira-kun. You'll be able to get it back. You'll be able to get back your pain." That scene alone made me glued to my laptop screen to the point I felt there may be no return. Soon after we are shown the opening, which to be honest has a pretty cool song. However, if I'm to rate the opening I can't give it too high of a score as it's not my favorite. Now, for the plot line discussion. Each main character within the anime has one of the "Seven Deadly Sins," well, sort of. I don't quite remember, "The Goody-Two Shoes" being one of the seven deadly sins, but you catch the anime's drift pretty quickly. These seven students who happen to go to the same school, were connected through the Kizuna System. The Kizuna system was invented in the hopes to create a team which would help to discover the ability to cease the reasons why human's fight one another. This is established by creating a bond between them, a bond connecting them through their wounds. And what better way to do this than by connecting their pain? So that if one is punched they all feel as though they've been punched. Finally we are told that this rag-tag group of unlikely heroes, the seven deadly sinners, are Kiznaivers. Allowing, the title of the anime to be brought into play. Now for the questions time: What did you think of the anime so far and will you continue the series? I have to say, that Otaku-kun will definitely be watching more of this anime soon. *claps hands together* As far as the anime, I truly like the animation which kind of has a Kill La Kill vibe to it (And no, I don't watch Kill La Kill, sorry). The characters have really interesting personalities and I look forward towards seeing their development. So far I'm also enjoy the plot line, as it's very original. Favorite character so far? The Eccentric Headcase (Niyama-kun) -- "Come --- Come, Come, Come--"What exactly are you doing there?" "It's an altar to summon the fairies!" "Fairies?" "Yep! You go like this to summon them. Come... Come, Come, Come!" The Goody-Two-Shoes & The Teacher who plays dating sims during class time and ignores the lesson to complain about how the free plays don't allow you to do anything (HOW I RELATEEEEEE!!!!). Well, I'd write more but it is already early in the morning. I need to stop making a habit out of midnight anime binges. Anyway, this is Otaku-Kun logging off.
